Jessica and Morgan here:

Yesterday, June 15th was a fantastic and eye opening day for all of us. We drove two hours to Bushbuck Ridge to support George (Founder of Hands) in his efforts to reach out to their community. We began with worship and it was like nothing we have ever seen before. We were asked to sing and we were pathetic compared to their angelic voices. George spoke about what it means to be a Christian. It was so touching and brought most to tears. To see people who we perceive to have so little, have so much compassion and genuine love for one another was humbling.

In the evening we invited the Hands staff to a BBQ(they call them Brie's) at our place. It felt so nice to juts sit back and relax. The people working here are amazing people and it was great to visit with them and hear their stories.

Today was Youth Day!
300 plus kids of all ages joined us at K2 (Masoyi community centre) to celebrate the festivities. There was singing, dancing, acting, and eating. Most of the youth participated and did an amazing job. We were very proud of them. Most of the performances were related to HIV and AIDS, as well as pregnancy and young mums. We were pleasantly surprised by how well 300 plus youth managed to stay so organized and well behaved during all the performances. Once all was done, everyone got to eat and visit with on another.
We have met so many amazing people and have experienced incredible things that have inspired us to stay strong and continue our journey helping others. It is so hard to put into words what we have seen and experienced but it has been one of the best journeys for all of us. We have grown stronger as a team and as individuals.
We look forward to this week because we starting to teach out programs in the community (hopefully, because everything changed on Africa time) and get to continue building friendships with everyone we meet.
We will keep you posted on what comes our way.
